Great turnout today even with a few people away at swimming. We practised our new songs and began learning the actions for Pa Mai as well.
Today we handed out wool to the girls for them to take home and plait. The Year 1-4 girls are making a single short poi and the senior girls are making two long poi. We are excited about teaching them how to use these.
They just need to plait the wool and then return to school with it. We will then show them the next step.
Next week the boys will be learning the chant that goes with Pa Mai. The words will be placed on the waiata page this week.
